Positive Ageing: Knowledge - Key to Positive Old Age

This event is Auslan interpreted!

Australia’s population is ageing. By 2050, the number of people aged 65 to 84 years is expected to more than double and the number of people aged 85 + years, more than quadruple.  What does it mean to grow old? Should Australians prepare for a world of nursing homes and dementia? Should we continue to work & study? Can we ‘age disgracefully’? How should the elderly be cared for?
How do we remain positive and love life as we grow older?

Knowledge - Key to a Positive Old Age will bring together experts with extensive experience in areas from advocacy, education & policy to clinical practice.
Hear insights from those responsible for supporting people as they grow old and discuss challenges and opportunities on how to prepare yourself for a Positive Old Age.
